Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, you will be able to;
- Identify common cancer conditions and understand the side effects of cancer-related treatments and medications.
- Conduct a safe oncology massage consultation with clients affected by cancer, using appropriate assessment and communication skills.
- Apply theoretical oncology massage knowledge in practical settings, adapting your approach to meet individual client needs with confidence and sensitivity.
- Safely and effectively conduct an oncology massage session using a variety of appropriate oncology massage techniques and adaptations to ensure the client is comfortable and relaxed during their session.
- Use reflective practice to evaluate your work, strengthen self-awareness, and support ongoing professional development.
This course is suitable for qualified massage therapists, with a recognised L3 (or above) massage qualification, minimum 2 years relevant industry experience and current industry insurance.
